As children growing up in the islands, we always looked forward to “mango season.” The limbs of the mango trees would be bowed, begging to be picked. We would eat some of the fruit immediately after washing, then take our bounty home to be prepared in a variety of mouthwatering dishes.
Our personal favorite with made with Li Hing seasoning. The perfect balance of “not too sweet and not too sour” flavors produces a winning combination. Try it!
